Salt and vinegar chips are a popular mealtime option. However, it turns out that you can use a combination of several hacks around the house.

First, and perhaps the most well-known, is that salt and vinegar work together to make a powerful cleaner but also act as a deodorizer. You can mix them in a glass or bowl in any room in your house, or in the refrigerator instead of the traditional baking soda method.

However, you can use vinegar alone for many things from treating your dog’s ear infection, using apple cider vinegar, to improving the appearance of your home. If you have bricks inside or outside your house, you can keep them from looking dirty by mixing white distilled vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Next, let it sit for about 10 minutes and then use a cloth or scrub brush to wipe off the mixture.

To heat the vinegar, heat it in the microwave for about a minute and a half. Be careful when removing the vinegar as it may burn.

Next, allow the copper parts to soak in the salt and vinegar for a while. Then, use a scrubbing pad and running water to remove the dirt. Finally, your copper to air dry.

Once a week you can use a mixture of vinegar (apple cider or white vinegar is suggested but you can use any vinegar you like) and water on shampooed hair to help prevent build up on the scalp.

To make the mixture you will need 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 cup of water. Pour the mixture over wet, shampooed hair and massage into your roots. Rinse thoroughly and use conditioner as usual. This not only removes the weird buildup but also helps improve the shine and health of the hair.

In excess, vinegar works well to reduce itching and irritation due to insect bites. Just grab a bite. However, you should not do so if there is an open wound as that can cause more heat and irritation. Meanwhile, you can cover yourself with apple cider vinegar, or keep some nearby, while hiking, camping, or participating in any other outdoor activities. This helps repel bugs and insects.

Salt and vinegar are a popular flavor combination for snacks like chips and pistachios. However, the combination is incredibly versatile and there are many uses for the dynamic duo.
